Hope is the anticipation that something will arrive.

Trusting in Christ is not just whistling in the dark, because you are afraid.

What God did then, and does now,
points to a future hope
for a greater something that he has promised.

Where is the hope in these verses?

Hope is not a lotto ticket that might pay off;
fingers crossed, but the simple maths are against it.
Hope, in the God of the bible, is complete confidence.

The hope of the Christmas Story...

We are starting the Christmas season.
The word "Advent" stems from the Latin adventus for “arrival.”
The arrival of the Messiah.

"everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."

The advent of the messiah, Jesus,
the Son of God who is God,
brought salvation by His death.
Little baby Jesus was born to die for our sins.
