The Lord commands us: "I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth."

As God guides the church, He sets aside Paul and Barnabas for specific work in the outside world.

John-Mark abandons the group and highlights the intense nature of the journey.

The Holy Spirit makes His will known to the church.  The church follows the leading of the Holy Spirit.

The world needs to see the hand of God at work through the church.

God guides and keeps, people who are close to him.  And Prayer and fasting are the two useful practices, to help stay close.

The testimony (record of action) of the followers of Jesus, led by the Holy Spirit, is the historic evidence for what God does through the church.

Faithful, praying Christians will continue to be amazed by what God is doing in the world.
