We are called into community as followers of Jesus Christ

'sent people' reach the world!
"including you who are called to belong to Jesus Christ"

The word for saints is "hagiois" literally 'holy ones'.
We are called to be Holy.
There are two ideas in the background here:
1. Justification and 2. Sanctification

God calls us to be holy ones and he doesn’t leave us to fail at that. He makes us holy, and he structures our lives to show it.

Peter refers to the LAST DAYS in Joel;
and Peter points at their present experience… saying 'this is it!'
Paul writes a letter to the church living in Rome at the start of this 'closing era': the last days

Paul and Peter embraced each other's teaching about the present age. The things happening at his time… and which events continue into our time
