The Law doesn’t give us power to resist sin;
It merely shines a light on it and now we see sin.

The Law shows what is right,
we want to do what is right...
But we have this problem:

I am a willing servant of the law of God (I want to do it),
BUT I am a slave to sin (I keep doing it).
And the good news is this:

There is no "free lunch".
But there IS good news for you!

When God speaks to us from the scripture, He is talking to people who have already been sold into slavery for life.

Paul continues speaking about freedom, to people who have given themselves to sin...
